Karaoke is always a great fun way to celebrate a bachelorette party. Who doesn’t love singing their favorite songs (COMPLETELY off-key) and acting like a rock star! A bachelorette party is sometimes about getting completely nuts and singing your heart out for the bride-to-be.
Getting someone to go first is most likely going to be met with cries of, “You go first,” “No, you go first”, as the matron-of-honor, be prepared to be the first to step up to the mike. Once the first person belts one out, the rest of the group will be more willing to take a stab at it, too. As soon as the spirits start flowing, inhibitions fly out the window and people can’t wait to sing their rendition of “Sweet Child ‘O Mine” or “Let’s Groove Tonite”.
Where to get the karaoke gear? There are several places online that deliver karaoke machines, microphones and CDs to sing along with, nationally. Prices can range from $49 to approximately $100. Or, if you have an Xbox 360, Playstation, Wii or any other gaming system, there are karaoke video games, like Karaoke Revolution, Karaoke Revolution: American Idol, SingStar Pop, or Lips that you can buy or rent. Every kind of music genre is available so everyone should be able to find a favorite song to sing.
Karaoke is guaranteed to be tons of fun for everyone! Added suggestion: If you’d like to give the bride-to-be a memento of the party for posterity’s sake, create a video of all of the guests singing a song together. It’ll be a great reminder of really fun party, not to mention a blast to watch years later.
Karaoke bachelorette parties are also great for non-drinking brides, conservative bachelorettes and for bachelorette parties with guests who are under 21.
